Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Take and record vital signs, weights/heights, and inputs/outputs.
  • Document accurately in the medical record.
  • Interact with patients and families effectively.
  • Assist with turning and repositioning and movement between bed and wheelchair.

Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respirationDoes this position require Patient Care?YesEssential Functions-Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.-Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.-Interacts with patients and their families effectively.-Helps patients with a number of basic hygiene tasks.
