Job summary

MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Float Unit on nights. Under supervision, you will assist with activities of daily living and support unit operations to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role requires CPR/AED certification, patient-care experience preferred, and basic computer skills. A $1,500 signing bonus is available to external hires, contingent on employment requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistants with 3 years of experience in an acute care facility or 5 years in a Skilled Nursing Facility or sub-acute setting.
• A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification is required
• Basic computer knowledge preferred

• Perform activities of daily living for patients under supervision.
• Assist with unit activities to support patient care in the Float Unit.
• Contribute to a safe, clean working environment and health/safety of patients.

Pay Range*: $23.73/hr - $26.97/hr

$1,500 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.

Position Summary:

Under direct supervision of licensed personnel, the Patient Care Assistant is responsible for performing activities of daily living for patients and generally assist with the unit activities that support patient care in the (insert department name)at MemorialCare Long BeachMedical Center. The Patient Care Assistant facilitates a safe, clean working environment and contributes to the health and safety of patients.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
