Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join the Float Pool. You will assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and unit.

This full-time on-site role offers day shifts (7:00am–7:30pm) and a comprehensive Total Rewards package including 401K, medical/dental/vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and other voluntary options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA Illinois approved certification required.
• Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months acute care hospital or physician’s office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintains a safe environment on the unit.
