Mayo Clinic in Wisconsin seeks a Patient Care Assistant to support nursing staff under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will perform delegated tasks within the scope of unlicensed nursing personnel to help comfort and care for patients.

Must be 18+ with 12 college credits or a HS diploma plus Nursing Assistant training; BLS certification is required or provided during orientation. Part-time schedule with 12-hour day/night rotations and every third weekend is available.

• Completion of 12 college credits -OR- High school diploma/ GED with successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training or equivalent preferred.
• Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from American Heart Association or American Red Cross; if not, certification will be included during orientation.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant carries out delegated skills that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.

Completion of 12 college credits -OR- High school diploma/ GED with successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training or equivalent preferred. Able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting. Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross. If a candidate does not currently have their Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross the Basic Life Support, certification will be included as part of the orientation program.
