Patient Care Assistants treats patients with Chemical Dependency and Medical Rehabilitation needs.
Taking vital signs, collect specimens, Transfer patients in/out of bed, lifting and bending required, report pertinent findings, abnormal vital signs, change in behavior and functional activities, check for skin breakdown/swelling have the ability to be rotated to any shift or unit. withstand prolonged hours of work. High School Diploma and one (1) year of experience as it pertains to the essential duties of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one (1) year may substitute for the required experience.
This position will provide services in an Specialty Hospital setting involving extended periods of walking, sitting, standing, bending and lifting from 0 to 100 +. Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage. Incumbent may be exposed to potentially violent patients in volatile situations requiring crisis. computer and telephone usage.
