Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Nurse Assistant to perform direct and indirect patient care tasks as delegated by licensed nursing personnel. The role includes bathing, hygiene, feeding, hydration, and positioning, with patient safety and satisfaction emphasized through regular rounds and clear team communication.

The position is part-time (48 hours per 2 weeks), daytime hours from 7am–7pm, with every other weekend and holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Successful completion of an unlicensed assistive personnel curriculum meeting 19 CSR 30-20.125 or documented experience as a Nursing Assistant/EMT/ER Tech/Surgical Tech in past 3 years; or LPN program completed outside the US awaiting licensure examination; or nursing student who completed fundamentals; or nursing licensure candidate who failed in past 3 years; or certified nursing assistant as defined by Mo statute.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks as delegated by licensed nursing personnel.
• Provide basic patient care such as bathing, hygiene, feeding, hydration, and positioning.
• Support patient safety and satisfaction by regular rounds and effective team communication.
