Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities and deliver basic nursing care under RN guidance.

The role requires CNA certification, phlebotomy and EKG credentials preferred, plus BLS within 30 days. This is a full-time night shift at Saint Francis Hospital with a strong focus on patient safety and teamwork.

Department: ICUSchedule: Full time nights|3-12 hour shifts 7p-7a| Rotating holidays.Facility: St. Francis HospitalLocation: 355 Ridge Ave Evanston, Illinois 60202

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.2. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.3. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current. 4. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.5. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (as applicable required):

6. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.7. High School Diploma or equivalent

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $18.00 to $26.68.
