Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital - Lexington is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to help keep patients safe and comfortable by assisting with daily living activities. You will support patients with hygiene, mobility, feeding, and assist nursing staff with vitals and room preparation.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (or SRNA) and Basic Life Support (CPR) on hire. You will work alongside a dedicated team at our Lexington campus delivering compassionate, patient‑center care.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Care Assistant, you’ll help our patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities.

Every day, you will directly support patients with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, while also assisting nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms.

Your success in this role comes from your genuine desire to help patients feel better, whether that means giving them fresh bed linens or checking their vitals. You're diligent about your tasks, observant of patients’ conditions improving or declining, and accept coaching well.
