Job summary

Scripps Mercy San Diego Hospital is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our Medical/Oncology team. As a PCA, you provide excellent service to patients, assist with daily living activities, and help ensure a safe, organized environment on the shift.

This is a full-time role (72 hours per pay period) with 12-hour DAY shifts on variable days, including holidays and weekends. You will work under clinicians, support the unit with logistics, clerical tasks, and charge

• Assists patients with personal needs and activities of daily living.
• Supports unit with patient logistics and clerical duties.
• Under clinician direction, assists with patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with personal needs and activities of daily living as part of the clinical care team.
• Assists with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician.
• Supports the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties.
