Job summary

HealthPartners in Minnesota is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support the nursing team under a Registered Nurse. You will assist with personal hygiene, daily activities, transport of patients and equipment, and help maintain patient rooms.

You will process electronic orders, assemble charts, and coordinate communications for the nursing unit. The role includes every-other weekend and holiday work on a 11pm–7:30am night shift.

Job description

As a Patient Care Assistant you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to assist in delivery of patient care including personal hygiene and daily activities transporting patients and equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and reordering/stocking of supplies. Responsible for coordination of communications and procedures for the nursing unit, process electronic orders and assembling patient’s charts and other necessities.

Work Schedule:

.7 FTE (28 hours per week), night shift (11pm-7:30am). Required to work every other weekend and holiday.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have one of the following:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • HS Diploma in progress and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
  • Equivalent work experience in lieu of HS diploma or equivalent may be considered
• Valid BLS from American Heart Association or Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications:

• CNA experience
• HUC or unit clerk experience
• Microsoft office experience
• Prior experience in acute care or hospital setting
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
