Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to provide direct patient care on our 28-bed Medical Telemetry unit. The role involves documentation, equipment upkeep, and participation in quality assurance within a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma preferred.
  • License: Nursing Assistant Certificate preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS; Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care.
  • Performs specific documentation in the patient's record.
  • Maintains equipment and supplies and participates in quality assurance.
  • Communicates appropriate information in departmental and interdepartmentally.
  • Assists and participates in staff education and pursues continuing education for personal development.
  • Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures.

More About Our Team

Our 28-bed Medical Telemetry unit provides specialized, continuous monitoring for a high-acuity patient population with diverse clinical needs. We manage a dynamic range of cases, including complex cardiac and respiratory conditions, post-surgical recovery, patients requiring bedside hemodialysis, as well as other medical conditions. This versatile environment demands a high level of clinical expertise to ensure safe, high-quality care for every patient on their path to recovery.

What We're Looking For

Education: High School diploma preferred.
