Visiting Angels of Missouri City is hiring a Patient Care Aide (PCA) to assist seniors in their homes across the local area, including Missouri City, Bellaire, Sienna Plantation, Sugarland, and Katy. The role offers flexible shifts and opportunities for growth, with pay ranging from $16 to $18 per hour.

The PCA will wear many hats—assisting with personal care, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments—while maintaining dignity and independence for clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional caregiving, home health, or CNA experience.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable personal vehicle.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Encourage and assist with exercise and mobility.
• Prompt clients to take medications on schedule.
• Assist with shopping and errands or shop for them.
• Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients.
• Support clients with mobility and accompany them to appointments.

A Visiting Angels Patient Care Aide - PCA wears many hats as they help our elderly and home-care clients stay at home or recover at home with dignity.

While no two client visits look exactly alike, responsibilities may include:

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them)
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks

A Patient Care Aide - PCA must also be prepared to act quickly in the case of medical emergencies. This includes adequately reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances. Our caregivers possess the ideal blend of competency, compassion, and professional discernment.

Patient Care Aide - PCA Job Requirements
