Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Nurse Aide at Gouverneur Hospital within the Med Surg/detox department. The role is full time (36 hours weekly) with 12-hour daytime shifts and occasional float to other clinics or departments as needed. You will work under licensed nursing staff to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and BLS within 3 months of hire. The union status is 1199 SEIU.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire preferred.
• Ability to float to other clinics and hospital departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Provides world class customer service to patients and families.
• Reports patient conditions directly to licensed nursing staff to support positive outcomes.
• Maintains a safe and clean patient and family-centered environment.
