Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of multiple insurance billing requirements.
• 1-2 years of business office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet timelines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Review all patient charts for accuracy of patient and billing information.
• Distribute all billing to appropriate personnel.
• Review and follow-up on all authorizations, referrals, and doctors' dictated notes.
• Communicate clearly and efficiently by telephone.
• Maintain knowledge of contracts and state Worker’s Compensation fee schedules.
• Operate a computer to input and retrieve data.
