The position requires an Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience, strong mediation and crisis skills, and solid computer proficiency. It is a full-time role with rotating shifts at Kennedy University Hospitals facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or three years of experience in a service-oriented organization, preferably healthcare.
• Self-motivation and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated mediation, conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills.
• Computer proficiency in word processing and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and manage complaints by patients, families, visitors, staff and other healthcare consumers toward resolution.
• Intervene in crisis situations and negotiate resolutions between conflicted parties.
• Proactively round on patients and families while in the hospital.
• Collaborate with the nurse manager, physicians, nursing staff and other clinicians to achieve resolution goals.
• Document complaints, grievances, and interactions in the electronic feedback system and support Quality and Safety through close-out of cases.
