Bellin Health is seeking a Patient Admissions Representative for the Escanaba Clinic. This 0.50 FTE position requires registering patients accurately, handling calls, and coordinating with physicians and staff to meet payer requirements.

The hybrid schedule involves 20 hours per week and alternating early shifts. Location is Escanaba, MI, with initial contact via [e-mail] for inquiries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with preferred post-secondary health care/insurance courses.
• Hospital/clinic admitting experience or completion of health business program preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance processing is a plus.

Job Description:

Responsible for the timely, complete, and accurate registration process of patients while meeting payor requirements. Manages telephone calls and appropriately communicates information with patients, physicians, and/or staff.

Qualifications:

High school diploma and additional post-secondary classes in medical insurance, medical terminology, and health care business preferred.

Hospital or clinic admitting experience or completion of health business program, computer/keyboarding skills, medical terminology, health insurance processing, excellent customer service skills, and decision-making skills preferred.
