Job summary

Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank is seeking a part-time Patient Access representative to pre-register and register patients for inpatient and outpatient services, conducting patient interviews, explaining hospital policies, and collecting signatures and documents to secure accounts.

You will support the admissions flow, verify demographics and insurance information, and explain Providence's financial assistance programs, contributing to a smooth, respectful patient experience.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• One year registration, insurance or medical office experience.
• One year customer service or similar job related experience.

Facilitates the patient admissions flow, including activities such as: patient identification, identification of accurate demographics and insurance information, and collection of required signatures and documents. Provides information and answers questions regarding Providence's financial assistance programs. Ensures account is financially secured prior to patient leaving registration area.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
