Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one leisure activities and document as needed.
• Document patient activities in medical records as required by state and federal laws and facility policy.
• Communicate behavioral observations to other disciplines.
• Maintain a safe and neat working environment.
• Coordinate the activities program with other services in the facility; attend staff meetings and in-services as assigned.
• Observe patients 1:1, through line-of-sight, or conduct rounds as needed.
• Assist and lead groups appropriate to patients' needs.
• Keep unit boards and schedules updated.
• Collaborate with nursing and other hospital departments.
