Job summary

Coral Shores Behavioral Health in Stuart, Florida is seeking a Patient Accounts Representative to manage patient accounts from discharge to final disposition. You will bill accounts daily and follow up with insurers on balances.

Responsibilities include posting cash, processing refunds, reconciling balances, and handling denials and appeals. This role requires accuracy, strong computer skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associates' degree preferred.
• 1 year of billing, patient accounts, and A/R experience in a healthcare setting. Experience in behavioral health preferred.
• Computer skills, the ability to multi-task and problem-solve.

Responsibilities

• Bills accounts on a daily basis using claims submission software and database.
• Posts cash on a rotation basis with other patient representatives.
• Completes collection calls to third party carrier and the guarantor.
• Reviews credit balances and prepares refund requests for review by the Business Office Director.
• Reconciles patient balances and prepares adjustment forms for review by the BOD.
• Follows up on the status of denials and appeals.
