What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Process and balance payments to patient accounts using electronic and manual systems
  • Research and validate adjustments to payment postings to ensure accurate account resolution
  • Handle correspondence, zero payments, denials, and additional items from insurance for patient accounts
  • Collaborate with team members and elevate issues to leadership as needed
  • Meet departmental productivity and quality goals while participating in educational meetings
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year of full cycle medical billing experience
  • At least six (6) months in a healthcare Cash Posting role
  • Knowledge of CPT codes, ICD-10 diagnoses, and modifiers
  • Experience with insurance claim appeals and ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Familiarity with electronic remittances and advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both oral and written
