Intermountain Health in Colorado's Peaks Regional Office seeks a detail-oriented healthcare revenue cycle specialist to support payment postings, payer recoupments, refunds, and patient refunds. You will navigate payer portals, review explanations of benefits, and help resolve complex account issues.

Responsibilities include following policies, maintaining HIPAA compliance, and communicating clearly with teammates and payers. Some exposure to Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations is required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • 1 year of experience in hospital or physician backend revenue cycle (Payment Posting, Billing, Follow-Up, Collections) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify payment details and save backups per procedures.
  • Research, validate, and adjust payment postings to resolve accounts.
  • Initiate payer recoupments, refunds for payers and patients as applicable.
  • Navigate payer claim portals and understand payer functionality.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team and payers.
  • Operate computers and office software and stay compliant with HIPAA.
