Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Preferred completion of a formal medical assistant training program.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Supports the patient and provider throughout the patient visit.
• Ensures the patient and provider are prepared for the visit.
• Prepares room and answers patient questions prior to leaving; documents as needed.
• Delivers excellent patient service in person and by phone.
• Maintains patient registrations and documentation.
• Keeps clinical knowledge and credentials up to date.
