Job Responsibilities

• Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity/compliance checks, provide patient instructions, and collect insurance information.
• Receive and process physician orders and utilize an overlay tool while delivering excellent customer service measured by Press Ganey.
• Operate the telephone switchboard to route incoming, outgoing, and inter‑office calls.
• Adhere to policies and provide compassionate customer service in all interactions.
• Meet point‑of‑service goals and conduct quality audits and reporting to ensure accuracy of accounts.
• Pre‑register patient accounts, obtain demographics, insurance, and other patient information, and manage financial liabilities, including point‑of‑service collections and payment plans.
• Explain and obtain signatures for consent and treatment forms, and distribute patient education documents such as Medicare, Tricare, MOON, and other future service forms.
• Verify insurance eligibility, select the applicable insurance plan code, and enter benefit data to support clean claim rates.
• Screen medical necessity using Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN) software, inform Medicare patients of possible non‑payment, and distribute ABNs and other designated forms.

Shift and Location

Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM, Monday‑Friday rotating Saturday once a month. Location: Tower – St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, Philadelphia, PA. On‑site work required.
