Job summary

Jericho Road Community Health Center in Buffalo, NY is seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative to join the Patient Access Department at either our 184 Barton or 1021 Broadway location. You will greet patients, complete registrations, verify insurance, schedule and reschedule appointments, and assist with patient flow while maintaining HIPAA-compliant practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least one year in an office setting.
• Direct experience in a primary care setting is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 suite.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors in a professional, courteous manner.
• Complete patient registration, demographic updates, insurance verification, and payment collection.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments following organizational standards.
• Coordinate interpreter services as needed to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
