Job Summary and Qualifications

The Patient Access Specialist is responsible to gather pertinent financial and demographic information from our patients, perform verification of this information and input the correct data. This position will use third party payer resources, such as websites to verify patients insurance benefits, financial and demographic information. Assist in all areas of the patient registration process, including bed-side registrations, collections of co-pays and/or deductibles, and to communicate to our patients various and complex information regarding authorizations, consents, and patient rights. To obtain patient signatures as needed, ensure patient gets to their required destination and distribute the paperwork to the appropriate areas. Strive to enhance the revenue cycle process through the registration process by working cooperatively with patients, physicians, coworkers and various other staff members in a prompt, courteous and professional manner at all times.
