Job summary

Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center is seeking a Part-Time Medical Support Assistant in Internal Medicine Leitchfield. You will assist with patient registration, scheduling, vital signs, basic procedures and documentation, while upholding confidentiality and high ethical standards.

Responsibilities include processing registrations, coordinating tests, communicating with patients, insurers and staff, and ensuring accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• ABR-OE credential within 120 days of employment.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and reschedules appointments and diagnostic testing using scheduling programs.
• Collects and records vital signs.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Documents patient care and maintains confidentiality and accuracy of information.
• Handles payments and co-pays during registration and reconciles cash receipts as needed.
• Maintains examination areas and retrieves/records patient information.
