Responsibilities

• Meets with patient and/or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation, and explain visit instructions.
• Communicates with referring provider's office, clinical departments, and other personnel to exchange information and determine schedule.
• Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification/authorization as necessary.
• Determines and accepts payments (co-pays/deductibles) or refers to financial counselors, ensuring demographics, billing and clinical data are entered accurately.
• Operates in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and uses critical thinking.
