Job summary

Avera Flandreau Hospital in Flandreau, SD is seeking a friendly and organized Registration Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. You will manage patient registrations, centralized scheduling for clinics and outreach services, and assist with billing functions.

Expected to work Day Shift with a focus on accurate data entry, communication with patients and providers, and adherence to compliance standards. PTO is offered from day one and a strong teamwork environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of patient registration, scheduling, and billing processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs centralized scheduling of outreach clinics, outreach services and patient procedures and tests.
• Registers patients with demographic, insurance and physician information accurately.
• Performs accounts payable duties including receiving payments and daily cash balances.
• Assists other departments with reports and processing.
• Performs front desk reception and related administrative tasks.
• Provides support regarding insurance, billing questions, and estimates.
