Job summary

Adventist Health in Glendale, CA is seeking a Patient Access associate to perform timely patient registration, interview patients for account information, verify insurance coverage, and collect patient liability amounts. You will ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment and correctly attach physician orders to records.

You will also print and collate required paperwork, and escort patients to the appropriate area or refer to an available escort as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Associate’s/Technical degree or related experience is preferred.

Job Summary

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Essential Functions

• Check for physician orders and attaches them to patient medical record to ensure that patients are receiving appropriate tests.
• Choose correct health plan and accurately and research to ensure accuracy when verifying insurance. Enter all authorization information accurately as needed.
• Follows guidelines and instructions from senior staff.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
