Pittsburgh Mercy in Pittsburgh, PA is hiring a Patient Access Representative to deliver high quality service to patients and customers in a courteous, professional manner. You will perform clerical and administrative duties to maintain registration operations, including data entry, scheduling, and insurance registration, in a team-based environment.

A high school diploma, 1 year of customer service experience, and pre-employment clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Business curriculum preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality service to patients and customers in a courteous, professional manner.
• Perform clerical and administrative duties to support program operations (communications, data entry, filing, bookkeeping, scheduling).
• Handle day-to-day operations including insurance registration and payee reimbursement.
• Follow established documentation, policies and procedures; prioritize tasks by deadlines.

ABOUT THE ROLE: This Patient Access Representative position is designed to provide high quality service to all individuals served and customers in a courteous and professional manner. We are looking for a professional that has the experience with clerical/administration functions, confidentiality, multi-tasking and works well within a team-based approach. This position is expected to perform clerical and administrative duties in order to maintain program and registration operations including: communications, data entry, filing, bookkeeping, scheduling, payee reimbursement, Insurance registration and the basic coordination of day-to-day services. Follow all established documentation, policies and procedures. Prioritize daily tasks based on deadlines, urgency of needs and departmental policy. Other duties as assigned.
