Job summary

JAG Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to ensure smooth operations, quality patient care, and exceptional service. You will greet patients, manage appointments, maintain records, and support administrative tasks while facilitating authorizations and insurance processes across JAG locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a medical assistant certificate program preferred.
• 1+ years experience as a medical receptionist/administrative assistant in health care.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to JAG locations for coverage as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in the medical office.
• Answer questions and provide assistance and directions.
• Handle calls on the main office line.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments using medical software.
• Register new patients and update records.
• Distribute forms to ensure complete information.
• Collect patient financial responsibility daily.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient records.
• Complete insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals.
• Know Workers’ Compensation and Auto claim submissions.
• Perform other duties as required.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Availability to travel throughout JAG locations for coverage. Following the JAG Travel policy.

What You’ll Do

• Greeting patients and other visitors in the medical office.
• Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary.
• Field all phone calls that arrive using our general office number.
• Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients.
• Register new patients and update necessary records.
• Distribute forms and paperwork to patients to ensure that required fields are completed appropriately.
• Daily collection of patient financial responsibility
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient records.
• Completing and tracking insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals.
• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation and Auto claim submissions.
• Perform other diverse duties as requested or required.
