Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking a Patient Access Technician in the outpatient Rehabilitation department. You will help enroll patients, answer phones, and support the therapy team with hands-on care in a per diem capacity.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred) and BLS certification; prior healthcare customer-facing experience is preferred. Per diem schedule includes a minimum of two shifts per month and day shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a health-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient enrollment in outpatient programs through accurate capture of patient information (clinical and demographic).
• Answer phones and perform scheduling functions courteously and promptly using customer-centered language.
• Assist the therapy team with hands-on care as directed and instructed.
• Maintain department cleanliness and supplies through cleaning, organizing, stocking, and ordering materials and supplies.
• Participate in tasks such as faxing, scanning, report generation, and other administrative tasks as requested.
