Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a Registrar II or comparable preferred.
• Knowledge of the Medipac system and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and collects accurate demographic, insurance, and billing data.
• Verifies insurance coverage and documents activity in the HIS and Medipac.
• Collects payments, issues receipts, and reconciles cash and deposits.
• Explains co-pays, deductibles, and other financial responsibilities to patients.
• Meets productivity, quality, and collection goals; provides coverage as needed.
• Complies with HIPAA, EMTALA, Joint Commission standards, and safety rules.
