Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill, PA seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform and report analyses of multiple specimen sources, supporting high-quality patient care and satisfaction. The role requires an Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology and eligibility for board certification within 18 months.

Night shift 9:00p–7:00a, four days per week with a $2.50/hour night differential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution or equivalent military training.
• Must be eligible for ASCP, AMT or equivalent board certification and certified as Medical Laboratory Technician within 18 months of hire.

• Provides care aligned with patient age range and strives for maximum patient satisfaction.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Performs and reports various analyses of multiple specimen sources. Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize patient satisfaction. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range on their assigned clinical area.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Associates degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution OR be a high school graduate or equivalent and have successfully completed an official military medical laboratory procedures course of at least a duration of fifty (50) weeks and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician);
• Must be eligible for ASCP, AMT or equivalent board certification exam and must be Medical Laboratory Technician certified within eighteen (18) months of hire.
