Job summary

Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, RI is seeking a Patient Access Associate to register patients for outpatient and inpatient services. You will collect demographic, physician, and insurance data and secure pre-registration information for imaging services and admissions.

The role requires a high school diploma (associates preferred) and strong typing, English communication, and medical terminology skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Associates degree preferred or at least two years equivalent experience in a health care environment.
• Knowledge of third party payers preferred.
• Excellent typing skills and ability to operate standard office equipment.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills and be proficient in the English language.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, word processing, statistical tools such as Lotus 1-2-3 and other computer applications preferred.
