Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a scheduling specialist to manage patient appointments, pre-registration, and related administrative tasks. You will handle transcription of external physician orders and manage data entry for multiple departments across our Peaks Regional Office in Colorado.

The role requires strong customer service, insurance knowledge, and computer skills to support efficient scheduling and patient flow. Remote/onsite options may be discussed during interviews.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 4+ years revenue cycle experience.
  • 2+ years of revenue cycle experience or 2+ years of contact center experience.
  • Experience handling high call volumes across multiple locations and departments.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and pre-register patients for appointments, outpatient visits, procedures and other department needs.
  • Complete administrative work associated with scheduling.
  • Transcribe external orders from physicians as needed.
  • Handle high call volumes across locations and departments; input and validate patient data.
  • Mentor new hires as needed; uphold Intermountain Health service standards.

Job Description:Schedules and pre-registers patients for appointments, outpatient visits, procedures, and other appointments captured by the department. Complete any administrative work that goes along with scheduling the appointment. Transcribe any external orders from Physican.
