Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One of: Associate degree or higher, 48 semester hours, 72 quarter hours, or ParaPro/Master Teacher exam.
• Ability to work under supervision and support diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students individually or in small groups under supervision.
• Assist in implementing IEP goals for each student.
• Prepare/adapt lessons and activities as directed by teachers.
• Plan and assemble homework activities for students.
• Assist with computer usage and operation.
• Monitor student behavior and report progress to teachers.
• Supervise students during recess, field trips, and transitions.
• Support student hygiene and safety as needed.
• Assist with emergencies and basic first aid when trained.
