You will review reports for grammar, terminology, and formatting while maintaining strict HIPAA confidentiality and quality standards. The role involves collaboration with physicians and occasional general administrative duties in a fast-paced diagnostic environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in medical transcription, especially in a Pathology setting, is preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge is preferred.
• Exceptional listening skills required.
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Review and proofread transcribed reports for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology and formatting guidelines.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with pathologists to clarify unclear reports and report discrepancies.
• Participate in quality assurance reviews to improve transcription accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform general client duties such as filing, managing patient records, and assisting with report distribution as needed.
• Handle calls from Doctor Offices seeking clarification of reports.
