Overview

The Department of Pathology at Montefiore Medical Center is one of the largest and most comprehensive medical center laboratories on the East Coast. We are seeking an applicant for a full-time Academic Surgical Pathology position in Renal Pathology at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor to join a staff of 25 surgical pathologists. Responsibilities
  • Work closely on clinical and research activities with adult, pediatric and transplant nephrology services.
  • Shared sign out of approximately 600 renal biopsies (native and transplant).
  • Shared sign out of surgical pathology specimens in another subspecialty as appropriate.
  • Autopsies, resident training, medical student teaching, and participation in translational or clinical research.
Requirements
  • Subspecialty fellowship training and/or extensive experience (5+ years) in renal pathology with evidence of scholarly activity.
  • Other subspecialty or general surgical pathology training or experience is also desirable.
