Job description

Join MD Anderson's Surgical Pathology team as a Pathology Referral Specialist and play a vital role in ensuring complex pathology cases move accurately and efficiently through the diagnostic and biomarker testing process. You'll organize and review pathology materials and documentation from internal and external sources, identify what is needed to move each case forward, and coordinate with clinicians, pathologists, laboratories, and other teams to support timely patient care.

By monitoring worklists and pending cases, coordinating the transfer of materials, and helping ensure turnaround-time expectations are met, you'll help keep cases moving to the appropriate next step while ensuring materials are properly archived or returned when no longer needed.

At MD Anderson, you'll also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive pay, an annual merit increase program, annual incentive opportunities, an employer-funded pension contribution, medical/dental/vision coverage, generous paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

If you're highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy coordinating complex information and working with a variety of customers and healthcare professionals, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes of cancer diagnosis and treatment at MD Anderson.
