Britt Medical in the Greater Pittsburgh area seeks a BC/BE Pathologist to serve as Medical Director in an established pathology practice. The role involves leadership of clinical and call duties across a busy lab serving a small hospital.

You will collaborate with a team of technologists to ensure quality and timely reporting, including FISH, SPEP/SPIF, and immunofixation interpretations, while enjoying a competitive compensation package and loan assistance options.

Responsibilities

• Medical Director responsibilities within an established pathology practice.
• Read approximately 5,000 surgical pathology specimens annually and ~1,000 non-GYN cytology and 2,800 GYN Pap smears.
• Collaborate with histotechnologists and cytotechnologists to ensure quality and throughput.
• Provide FISH panel interpretations for bone marrow, peripheral blood, and solid tumors as needed.
• Read for a small, local hospital and share clinical and call duties with one full-time pathologist.
