Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in chemistry, biology, or related area.
• Six to twelve months of relevant laboratory experience.
• Ability to perform routine clinical and microscopic tests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and determine suitability of solutions and reagents.
• Set up and read routine blood and urine cultures and determine organism susceptibility.
• Perform routine clinical and microscopic tests on urine, stool, and other specimens.
• Calibrate equipment and run specimens on automated systems.
• Draw patient blood samples and transport to the lab.
• Log specimens and report results with QA checks.
• Maintain records and clean/maintain equipment.
