Job summary

The CHI Health and Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, NE seek a visionary Chair for the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Services. You will lead clinical, research, and educational activities and partner with CHI Health and the School of Medicine to advance patient care and scholarly work.

Requirements include an MD or DO (or MD/PhD), board certification or eligibility in ABPath, Nebraska medical licensure, and appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology.
• Active or eligible Nebraska medical license.
• Appointment at Associate or Full Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, clinical, and administrative leadership for Pathology.
• Lead strategic direction and align with school and CHI Health priorities.
• Collaborate with health-system leadership to optimize operations and access.
• Advance the educational mission and support a strong GME program.
• Foster research and scholarly productivity through collaboration and funding.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain faculty and staff; drive a inclusive culture.
• Report to the Dean and CHI Clinic Enterprise leadership.
• Support a diverse, inclusive professional environment.
