Job summary

Tempus is seeking a Pathology Lab Coordinator in Chicago to coordinate between the lab, pathologists and business teams. You will work with pathologists and histotechnologists to ensure efficient patient testing workflows for clinical specimens and abstract clinical data from patient documents.

You will support multiple workflows including pathology review and IHC review, serving as a liaison across Tempus while maintaining high accuracy and organization.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year college degree in a Biological Science with anatomy and/or molecular biology.
• Prior pathology or histotechnology lab experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between the lab, pathologists and business teams across Tempus.
• Work with pathologists and histotechnologists to ensure efficient testing workflows for clinical specimens.
• Abstract clinical data accurately from patient documents.
• Support pathology and IHC review workflows.
• Serve as liaison between Pathology and other Tempus teams.
• Troubleshoot, audit sample progress, and reconcile lab specimens.
