Job summary

The role includes logistics for collection, transport, storage and distribution of lab materials, assisting staff, maintaining records, and participating in QA/QI programs to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of related experience.
• High School diploma required.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers required at hire with 6 months validity.
• Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provides logistics support for collection, transportation, storage, and distribution of laboratory materials.
• Assists laboratory staff in performing clinical and/or non-clinical activities promptly and accurately.
• Maintains and updates files, records and reports.
• Performs phlebotomy activities as required by departmental policy and procedures manual.
• Lead worker assisting in organizing and directing workflow.
• Communicates regularly with subordinates and supervisor.
• Supports QA/QI programs in the department.
• Ensures infection control and cleanliness in the work area.
