IPL Health Staffing supports a leading healthcare organization in southeastern North Carolina by recruiting a certified Pathologists' Assistant. The role involves gross examination, dissection, description, and prep of surgical pathology specimens under a pathologist's direction.

You will prepare specimens for frozen section microscopy and intraoperative evaluation and select tissue for special studies including flow cytometry.

Formación

• Certified Pathologists' Assistant with current credentials.
• Independent gross examination and dissection under pathologist direction.
• Experience with frozen section preparation and intraoperative evaluation.
• Proficiency in selecting tissue for flow cytometry and special studies.
• Strong collaboration within a multidisciplinary lab.

Responsabilidades

• Independently perform gross examination, dissection, and description of surgical pathology specimens.
• Prepare specimens for frozen section microscopy and intraoperative evaluation.
• Select and prepare tissue for special studies including flow cytometry.
• Collaborate closely with pathologists, histotechnologists, cytotechnologists, and lab leadership.
• Maintain a Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm schedule with no nights or weekends.
