Job summary

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related science field and NAACLS PA training.
• Current ASCP certification as Pathologists’ Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross description and dissection of human tissue surgical specimens.
• Prepare postmortem examinations and document findings.
• Coordinate specimen accessioning and history retrieval.
• Describe gross features and prepare tissues for light microscopy.
• Photograph specimens and slides; assist in accreditation inspections.
