STHS has 10 CAP labs.

• Patient Volume: High‑volume acute care facility with growing demand for diagnostic pathology services

• Practice Setting: South Texas Health System, state‑of‑the‑art pathology laboratory
• Support / Care Team: Collaborative pathology group with an expanding team, laboratory technologists, and support staff
• EMR / Technology: Cerner EMR with advanced clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory equipment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anatomic and clinical pathology services to a diverse patient population
• Collaborate with the pathology group, clinicians, and laboratory staff to ensure high‑quality diagnostic services
• Participate in diagnostic evaluations, reporting, and quality assurance activities
• Document findings and maintain accurate records within the hospital’s EMR system
