Responsibilities include peripheral smear reviews, blood bank coverage, large specimen grossing, and frozen sections. The role excludes bone marrow procedures or autopsies, offers vacation coverage, and provides online case documentation with dedicated support.

Qualifications

• Experience in surgical pathology and cytology
• Familiarity with blood bank management
• Strong grossing skills
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Process ~3,000 surgical pathology cases annually
• Deal with anatomic and clinical pathology
• Perform ~100 cytology cases (FNA, no Pap smears)
• Conduct peripheral smear reviews
• Provide blood bank coverage
• Gross large specimens
• Perform frozen section evaluations
• No bone marrow or autopsy procedures
• Provide vacation coverage and document cases via online portal
• Receive 24/7 support from healthcare consultant
