Job summary
Top 2 Percent Scientists is seeking a Pathologist specializing in Digital Pathology and Clinical Informatics. This position is based in Birmingham, AL at the UAB Heersink School of Medicine and involves leading initiatives in Whole Slide Imaging (WSI) and overseeing laboratory informatics.
The ideal candidate will possess an M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D., complemented by Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology. Responsibilities include training medical staff and resolving informatics issues, with opportunities for leadership roles within the department.
Qualifications
- M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D. is required.
- Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) required.
- Must be eligible for medical license in Alabama.
Responsibilities
- Lead optimization of LIS (Beaker) usability and tele-pathology systems.
- Deploy digital pathology workflows and software platforms.
- Supervise day-to-day informatics needs and resolve technical issues.
- Integrate diagnostics across LIS, genomics, radiomics, and enterprise imaging.
- Train residents, fellows, and medical students.
